Regardless of what you might think about Easter, and the somewhat distorted versions of history we have been told, Easter has a definite energy of its own.
And it’s one that echoes, rather melodically, around the world.
From the clatter of pots on the cobblestones of Corfu to the laughter and songs in the heart of Bulgaria, Easter paints a picture of diversity and unity, side by side.
In Australia, the Easter Bilby hops into hearts, offering a delightful twist to the classic bunny tale, and symbolising the importance of nature and conservation.
Across the globe to Mexico, the night sky is lit by the fiery tradition of "La quema de Judas," a vivid reminder of purification and new beginnings.
We can venture into the quaint villages of Finland, where children, dressed as witches, bring willow twigs to doorsteps, singing songs and weaving magic and good fortune into the fabric of their community.
And then, be swept away to Argentina, where the stories of the Bible come alive to the sound of music, and are not just tales from the past, but lessons and inspirations for today.
As we dance around eggs in Great Britain, or adorn ourselves in the vibrant hues and sounds of Easter parades in New York, we're reminded that these celebrations are more than just traditions.
They are opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth.
They invite us to embrace the diversity of our world.
To find joy in the unique ways we come together.
And to remember that at the heart of every tradition lies a story of humanity.
In every cracked pot, every sung note, and every shared moment, there's a reminder that joy is universal, and love is the most enduring tradition of all.
So, this weekend, crank up the tunes, and spread some love and good vibes, and imagine sending that energy all around the world.
