Every festival season that old clip does the rounds.
It’s shot on a phone, badly.
A sunny hill.
One guy at a festival.
He’s dancing like his life depends on it.
No stage. No cameras. No hype.
Just him. Lost in the music. In love with life.
You can see people watching. Smirking. (The usual thing we do when someone breaks the script.)
And then it happens.
A second person steps in.
They don’t mock.
They don’t hesitate.
They just start dancing too.
And that’s when everything shifts.
Now it’s no longer strange.
Now it’s two people caught up in something real.
The lone loon has now become a leader.
Then a third joins. Then five. Then twenty.
Soon, the hill’s alive. It’s rocking.
And it took the courage of just two people to start an entire movement.
Most people aren’t the first dancer. Not because they don’t feel it. But because somewhere along the way, they learnt to hold back.
Don’t stand out. Don’t draw attention. Don’t be the one they laugh at.
But deep down, many of us are still carrying that version of ourselves who just wants to move, to be wild, to be free, to feel something without worrying how it looks.
The second dancer doesn’t lead.
They just see something.
They feel it.
And they say: I’m in.
And they are the ones who open the door for everybody else.
And that’s how things begin.
Not always with grand plans.
And usually without permission. Just someone willing to move.
It’s like that here too. With The Buzz.
It’s started with a couple of us who felt something was missing and wanted to build something that meant something. Where radio and music mattered again.
And then some of you saw it too.
You tuned in. You told your mates. You joined in.
And now, more and more people are finding us.
That’s how everything good starts, how movements happen.
So if the lone guy on the hill stirs something in you, turn The Buzz up. Wherever you are. The living room. The kitchen. The car. The walk to work.
It doesn’t matter.
Just know that all over the world, right now, there are people like you.
Still feeling it.
Still moving.
Still finding their way back to that part of themselves the world told them to bury.
And together, bit by bit, we can make the hill come alive again.
